Note: At the moment, transfers to bank accounts not nominated in NGN, GHS, KES, TZS, or UGX have to be in USD, GBP or EUR. This will then be converted to the local currency based on provided mid-market rates.

  3. Select bank transfer in the select transfer mode drop down menu,
  4. Select swift bank transfers in the select bank transfer mode drop down list,
  5. enter your recipient’s details (name, address, phone number) and bank details ( Account Number And or routing number, bank name, IBAN number and SWIFT/BIC code),
  6. Select the currency and Enter the amount you wish to send in the amount field .Kindly select pound when sending to UK, Euro when sending to any european country which is not UK and US dollar if you are sending to any other country that is not a European country.
  7. Enter the reasons for sending the money in the narration field,
  8. Choose how you want to pay in the display payment method available for your region,

Note : 

The USA is the only country that uses Routing Numbers, even when receiving money from a foreign bank account.  However, if you wish to make an international bank transfer to a US account from a bank account outside the USA, you will need to provide their Routing Number in order for the funds to reach the account safely.

Banks in the United States don't use IBAN codes to identify specific banks or account numbers. They  instead use SWIFT codes and routing numbers.

What Is An IBAN

The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is the international standard for identifying international bank accounts across national borders. At present, the United States does not participate in IBAN. Therefore, Bank of America does not have an IBAN number.
